General Guidance, Not Advice

Everything published on this site is general information about the tax and accounting position of doctors. It is not advice on your own affairs and it does not create a client relationship. Two doctors with the same headline income can be taxed very differently depending on how the work is contracted. Do not act on a page here without having your own position looked at.

Nothing on this site is advice on pensions, investments or insurance. Tidy Money Ltd is regulated by the ACCA and holds no Financial Conduct Authority permission. Pages about the NHS pension explain how the annual allowance is calculated and reported. They do not recommend whether to remain in the scheme, whether to take benefits, or what to hold instead.

Figures and Dates

Rates, thresholds and deadlines are taken from GOV.UK, HMRC manuals and NHS Business Services Authority guidance, and carry the date they were last checked, shown in the footer and at the top of each guide. Tax rules change, sometimes with little notice. Check the current position before relying on a figure.
