About Medical Accountants

Medical Accountants does the accounts and tax work for people who treat patients: GP partners and salaried GPs, hospital consultants with private lists, and locums working through a company or in their own name. The work is carried out by Tidy Money Ltd, a practice regulated by the ACCA and owned by Preetesh Parmar FCCA. You can check the practice independently at tidymoney.com before you send us anything.

We are not a directory and your details do not go to a panel of firms. An enquiry sent from this site arrives at the practice that would do the work, and nowhere else.

Engagement, Fees and Identity Checks

You tell us what you earn from, what has already been filed and what is outstanding. We come back with a fixed fee for the work and the date it has to be finished by. The quote is free and there is no obligation attached to it. Where the position is simple enough that you would be paying us to type numbers you already have, we say so.

Once the fee is agreed, anti-money-laundering identity checks come first, as they do at every UK practice. After that we ask for records once, in a single list, rather than in a chain of emails across three months.

Limits on What We Advise

Tidy Money Ltd is regulated by the ACCA and holds no permission from the Financial Conduct Authority. On the NHS pension that draws a clear line. We will calculate your pension input amount, work out an annual allowance charge, check carried forward allowance and complete a Scheme Pays election with you. We will not tell you whether to stay in the scheme, whether to take benefits, or what to buy instead. Those are questions for a regulated financial adviser, and anyone answering them without that permission is doing something they should not.

Sourcing and Review

The guidance here is written and reviewed by the Medical Accountants editorial team. There are no named authors we cannot stand behind, no invented credentials and no biographies on this site.

Every rate, threshold and deadline comes from GOV.UK, an HMRC manual or NHS Business Services Authority guidance, and carries the date it was last checked. Where a figure moved recently we say what it was before and when it changed, because a number without a date is not much use on this subject. Everything was last checked on 24 July 2026. Where we could not confirm something against a primary source, it is not on the site at all.

There are no customer reviews or testimonials here. If that changes, they will be real and checkable.

Send Us the Figures and We Will Quote

Tell us what you earn from and what is outstanding. We come back with a fee for the work and the date it has to be finished by. If your position is straightforward enough to file yourself, we will say so rather than quote for it.
